Love this raclette grill BUT...

Love this raclette grill BUT the cast iron grill plate is extremely difficult to clean. I have only used the grill once and ended up ordering a granite grill top to use with it moving forward.
I seasoned the cast iron grill plate as instructed but was left with a big mess after simply grilling sliced marinated vegetables. The cast iron is textured and lint from your cleaning cloth etc adheres to the surface creating a frustrating clean up experience.

We had raclette for the appetizer/lunch for Christmas dinner. Grilled shrimp, flavored chicken sausage, small flat onions, green peppers, mushrooms, gherkin pickles, cherry tomatoes, pineapple slices—all yummy! Even though it said the finish was non-stick I recommend seasoning the iron surface before using.

Great Quality!

It was a gift for my son: he loves it! We have the same one but with a nonstick top. The cast iron version is even better!
